Hours vary widely: diners and fast-food chains often stay open late or around the clock, while bakeries and cafes tend to open early and close mid-afternoon. Went to celebrate my husband's birthday and decided to try somewhere new. The atmosphere was nice The server was good but the food was very underwhelming. I have never been to an Italian restaurant where the food had absolutely no flavor! We ordered the mozzarella cheese...lots of crust but very little flavor in the breading or the cheese. Mu husband had French onion soup..he said it was the most bland soup he'd ever had...French onion soup should be rich and robust but this was not. I ordered fettuccine Alfredo. Comes with nothing. No salad no soup...so I ordered wedding soup on the side. My husband had chicken parm. My Alfredo no flavor..told the waitress she said that they make the :traditional way" and thats why it was like that. I do too but there is still flavor. And my husband's chicken parm was meh...although there was some spice from the spicy rigatoni that he wasn't crazy about. The last thing was my wedding soup...which was about the only thing that I will say had some flavor to it...just no greens present in my cup...and the pastini was chewy...I know it sounds like I am being way picky but with the prices being what they were I guess we were just expecting the food to

Since we were already staying at the Doubletree Hotel, we decided to have dinner at the restaurant. It was a busy Saturday night, and we were able to get a table for two without a reservation. We started with the scampi appetizer and it was delicious with pieces of roasted garlic that were almost buttery. For dinner I had the eggplant which was dipped in egg and Parmesan with a side of gluten free pasta. My husband ordered the chicken masala, but a chicken Parmesan arrived at the table, he took a couple of bites when he realized, hey wait, this isn't what I ordered. It was delicious, so after checking with the waitress that it was an input error, he decided to just enjoy the dish rather than switch it out. For dessert, I had a dish of their vanilla gellatto which was smooth and creamy refreshing treat after dinner. My husband had the canolli and it comes with three which was a surprise. So it would definitely be a shareable dessert. We did find it odd that they had a busser on staff, bussing tables and clearing plates, but for some reason, our plates were never cleared despite the busser passing us continually. We also stopped in for breakfast and Amber was absolutely outstanding,

Casa di Canzonetta has been one of Youngstownβs classic dining destinations for as long as I can remember. Whether youβre celebrating an anniversary, entertaining out-of-town guests, or simply looking for an exceptional Italian dinner, this place never disappoints. The atmosphere is elegant without being stuffy, the service is professional, and every meal feels like an experience instead of just another night out. Being located inside the DoubleTree makes it an easy recommendation for both locals and visitors staying downtown. What has always stood out to me is the consistency. Year after year, Casa di Canzonetta continues to deliver the kind of quality and hospitality that keeps people coming back. Youngstown has some outstanding local restaurants, and this one has earned its reputation. If youβre looking for authentic Italian cuisine, attentive service, and a place thatβs perfect for celebrating lifeβs milestones, you wonβt be disappointed. Highly recommended

Unfortunately our experience wasnβt the greatest, which was a huge let down especially since we were there to celebrate two birthdays. We arrived ~45 mins early to have a drink at the bar. Upon entering, youβre hit with an aroma from the wood fired grill, which initially is very nice, but it will saturate your hair, clothing, coat, etc. Even my leather purse smells smoky the next day. We sat at our table and the waitress (Jaime) greeted us and brought us drinks and walked us through the menu. We ordered the whipped feta appetizer as well as the greens β both amazing. For our meals, we ordered blackened salmon, veal with crabmeat, filet medallions, and a ribeye. Everything came out looking and smelling fantastic, but unfortunately for my husband (whose birthday we were celebrating), his ribeye was 99% fat. It was practically inedible. He politely asked our waitress if they could fire a new steak - she was wonderful about it and took it back to the kitchen. Another woman came to the table asking what was the issue with the steak and when my husband explained that it was just entirely too fatty, she offered to throw it back on the grill or theyβd have to charge us for another meal i

My wife and I decided to come here last minute for our 24th wedding Anniversary and were actually able to get a table! The atmosphere was really nice and the hostess was very polite. We started off with the Scarola (greens) which i would put as at least top 3 in the area. The roasted garlic they put on them is excellent! We ordered the beans and sausage that are offered with them but on the side. That too was good, but the greens definitely don't need them. We then snacked on some really good bread and dipping oil. Next we had the 24-Hour Italian Onion soup (like French Onion Soup). It had a subtle sweetness from the Onion and was excellent! For our entrees I had the Long Bone in Veal chop cooked medium. They put it over a bed of saffron risotto and it is covered with mushroom and roasted garlic sauce that was absolutely delicious. My wife got a steak that they had on special (i apologize i cant remember what it was). The steak was ordered rare, which they nailed! We prefer a bit more seasoned than what was on it, but it was till very good and had a nice char flavor. Instead of getting it with the potatoes it was offered with she opted for the black truffle risotto. The risotto was
